My stay at the Sunnyside Park Hotel left me feeling underwhelmed. The location is fairly convenient for access to the Johannesburg CBD, and the conference facilities were adequate with good home-cooked food. However, the hotel is badly in need of a revamp. The room was old, with several maintenance issues that simply should not have been overlooked. Overall, it was not a pleasant experience and left much to be desired.

The hotel offers a stunning external environment, with beautiful gardens and a tranquil pool area, making it feel like a retreat away from the city. However, the internal condition of the hotel leaves much to be desired, with outdated furniture and cleanliness issues in the rooms. Dining options are excellent, providing good value for money, but noise from renovations might disrupt your experience during the stay.

However, the rooms felt a bit outdated, although the upgraded bathrooms were a nice touch. The service was attentive and the gardens were a lovely addition.
